Disinfection, Cleaning, Sterilisation and Storage of flexible reusable endotherapy instruments

1.Disinfektion

Fill up an adequate basin with neutral, slightly foaming medical cleaning agent and put in the used instrument. Inject 10 ml cleaning agent with a syringe in the luer-lock connector.

 

2. Ultrasonic Cleaning

Inject 10 ml neutral, slightly forming medical cleaning agent  in the luer-lock connector of the instrument. Put the instrument in the ultrasonic cleaning  system for 30 minutes. If possible do not roll up the instrument below a diameter of 20-25 cm

 

3. Autoclaving

Roll up the instrument to a radius of minimum 20-25 cm and put it in a sterile packing. Seal the packing to autoclave. The autoclaving has to be done at the following parameters:

 

Pre-vacuum
Pressure: 0,29 MPa – 0,31 MPa
Temperature: 132° - 134°
Duration:  5 Minutes

 

4. Storage

Please make sure that the sterile packing is undamaged. Store the instruments at room temperature in a clean and dry place. Do no expose to direct sunlight.

 

Remark:
Defective instruments are dangerous and can cause high repair costs.
Please always allocate appropriate replacement instruments.
